This was the shit when it came out. This proves that you can have a "small" voice, but with the right producers (Jam and Lewis), another talent (in her case dancing and acting), and good work ethic (instilled by Joe's belt) you can make it far and be in the game for longevity instead of making a quick buck with a bunk ass single.

I missed yesterday's post, but give me a couple minutes and I'll give you a good reason. Now let's start JJ week.

Miss You Much

This is one of my favorite Janet songs. The routine with the chairs was new and impressive for that time (I think). Classic song from a classic album. This is one of those videos that really don't need much concept as long as the dancing was great. Why were all her male background dancers back in the day gay though? Or seemed so?

What's It Gonna Be?! (To make up for yesterday)

Not really Janet's song per se, but this was my ISH!! The beat, production, err'thang was on point in this song. Dominatrix Jan was SEXAY!! She was killin the hook. Find me one muh-fukka that didn't like this song when it dropped.

Award Show: American Music Awards

The AMA was nothing special this year besides a few good performances, "WTF" moments, some people I never heard of winning the awards (Da fuck is a Gloriana?), and that Taylor Swift grl winning awards out of sympathy. Yep, that's what I'm calling it. With that, I'll skip right on to the performances.

~~Mary J. Blige~~ Queen of Hip-Hop/R&B Soul (her official name) - "I Am"

What is there to be said about Mary that hasn't already been said over the years? Great singer, performer and overall artist.

You Know you wrong For...: Actually, I can't find nuthing wrong with Mary on this performance or song. If I did my ma would be right here ready with the backhand of life.

Why We Love Mary: How can you NOT (have) love for Mary? Sure, she has times when she sounds "off" on stage, but she can still sing better than the bishes in the music game now. Plus, we've chalked that up to her "emotion" and "passion". And she straight murks the stage too, given the right song.

That face and squal at the end (3:28) = CLASSIC MARY!

Sidenote: Her and Perez Hilton had the same hair style.

Alicia Keys - "Try Sleeping With a ~~Married Man~~ Broken Heart"

This song has grown on me. Is it me or has her voice changed over the years? But I see you Alicia, trying to ~~do the coochie-crank~~ ~~Tootsie Roll~~ dance.

You Know you wrong For...: Stealing Ciara's "Promise" background and dancers. And what the hell was up with the flying piano? Where they do that at? [*A.Red]

Why We Love Alicia: Because we still hold on to hope that she'll go back to making songs like this

Lady GaGa - Bad Romance / Speechless

GaGa Addams shut her set DOWN. Setting shit on fire and slitting her wrist with all the broken glass, but in a good, entertaining way. Yall catch the look on her face at the end? She's aint playin' with them bubble gum-pop hoes.

You Know You Wrong For...: Making your costume look like you got a dang-lang.

Why We Love GaGa: The bish can sing and dance all LIVE! Her music ain't bad either. She's the good kind of different without trying too hard (side-eye at Rihanna)

Janet proved why she was and still is a strong force in this business. Putting them young girls to shame like that. Get 'em Janet! I smell more number 1's with her moving back to A&M Records.

Overall it was pretty suckish. 50 Cent's singing was better than Rihanna's. GaGa was screwed out of her wins (what is a Gloriana?), and Taylor Swift won only b/c Kanye shut her ass down at the MTV awards (I said it!). How that lil white girl beat MJ and GaGa's fool ass?!

Really, what did you expect from a Janet Jackson uptempo music video but great dancing and her looking all kinds of sexy. Just proves you don't have to be half-nekkid, gyrating, slinging your cho-cha in the the camera to have a great video. It gives me kind of a "Scream" vibe and there's nothing wrong with that.

Janet KILLS the dancing. How does a 43 year old woman shit on the girls that are out here HALF her age (in terms of looks and overall talent[singing, dancing, so-on, so-on]). JJ makes sure her dancers stay on point though, they never miss a beat.

In other JJ related news, she just signed a new recording deal with A&M Records, where she broke out big into the music scene.

A source tells the New York Daily News that Interscope Geffen A&M quietly signed Jackson to a recording contract in October. She was also seen at a UFC fight with Interscope head honcho Jimmy Iovine last month.

“Jimmy has given the mandate to make this Janet record a success,” says the paper’s source. “He believes that he has the right team in place to finally take Janet back to the top of the music charts. It’s a top priority for the label.”

Sounds like he's taken a turn to a bit more Techno and Pop-ish songs and more autotune. (That note near the end in "Crawl" and that crap after the chorus in "I.Y.A"). I'm not an expert on music and I'm not gonna act like I am, so I'll just give my personal opinions on the songs

1. I Can Transform Ya - This is just plain hot.
2. Sing Like Me - Another hot track and my fav on the album. Also my new theme song.
3. Crawl - It's a good choice for a second single. Make 'em dance with "ICTY" then make 'em cry and feel your pain with "Crawl". Sorta like the "Yeah!"-"Burn" combo.
4. So Cold AKA Plea To Rihanna - This is just meah to me. I heard the full song and hate that he's using auto-tune to sing the high notes. This is meah to me.
5. What I Do - I'll pass on this.
6. Famous Girl - Sound like Pharrell had something to do with this and I ain't mad. Sounds hot and so far I like it. One of the best on the album.
7. Take My Time - I can get with this. Can't wait to hear what Tank does for this song.
8. I.Y.A. - NO!
9. Pass Out - Nope. This is Just "Forever pt. 2". You can hear the leftover beat.
10. Wait - Eeeeh. I might like it more when it leaks in full w/ Trey Songz.
11. Lucky Me - Sounds like something young Usher would've done.
12. Fallin' Down - Seems cool.
13. I'll Go - Look at CB growing in his music
14. Girlfriend - ...I take my last statement back. You are NOT a 'teen no more!
15. Gotta Be Ur Man - They could've left this off.
16. For Ur Love - Ok, now they're just adding fillers.
17. I Need This - Kill me, but I think I like this.
18. I Love U - I like this too. Missing something though.
19. Brown Skin Girl - Jamacian accent proper. Sean Paul hopefully adds something to this.
20. Chase Our Love - Finally it ends... and not on a good note.

To me, the album is aiite. Sure as hell not better than Exclusive or his debut album but good enough to sustain the local stans. He's growing a bit musically but then takes two steps back with songs like "Girlfriend" (smh) His voice has gotten better, but he's using auto-tunne to hit the note that he can't get to and you can really tell in some of these songs. Overall I give it a C-. He would've gotten a "C+" but that damn album cover... (SMDH)

It's better than "Rated R" I'll say. I heard the snippets from her album and it just flat out sucked. The only good song on there seems to be "Hard".

What do you think? Will this album shoot Chris' fame to higher heights? Will the stans bumrush old ladies in the mall to get this fresh off the shelf? Will some people show up with picket sign and try to stop the album from selling? Speak on it.

Everyone had a good day yesterday right? Numerous plates of various amounts of food. The day off, not having to deal with the sick'nin ass boss. Just a peaceful, relaxing day with your loved ones. I got the next 4 days off plus I'm out school 'till Tuesday so I'm good. The turkey was good. Ham was well glazed. All of the rice was steamed right. the yams was good with all the extra marshmallows I added in when no one was looking. Throw in a piece of carot cake and a couple scoops of macaroni and I was done for most of the day. If y'all have anything y'all wanna share on your Thanksgiving experience, gone type 'em up in the comment box.

How are my proud Peoples doing today? I hope no one acted a fool this afternoon. Barack is our 1st ever black President, that doesn’t give us a reason to act a donkey out in the streets. Now who showed up at work before the doors open ready to rag on the McCain/Palin supports…erm…I mean ready to work extra hard for that check? Who held their head up high at all the salty crackers and the snooty yt people while walking down the street?

I'll be honest, I had my mind set on not going to class if Obama won, but I decided to drive down to that school and work hard damnit! Especially in the classes where I KNOW the teachers voted for McCain. I paid attention, answered questions and showed up to my classes earlier to look at the teachers dead in the eye throughout the whole hour and 30 minutes! But other than that, today just felt like a regular day. I guess I won’t start feeling the effects until January, when Bush is completely out and Obama is officially in. How was today for you? A regular day? A “fresh start”? Or did you even go to work?

"Authorities investigating the shooting deaths of Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother were searching for the missing 7-year-old nephew of the Oscar-winning actress.
A suspect in the deaths was in custody Friday night, but young Julian King had not been seen since the bodies of Darnell Donerson, 57, and Jason Hudson, 29, were found Friday afternoon.
A family member entering Donerson's South Side home Friday afternoon found the woman shot on the living room floor. Responding officers later found Hanson shot in the bedroom, police said.
At least one of the victims suffered defensive wounds, said authorities who described the shooting as domestic violence.
William Balfour, a man suspected in the deaths, was arrested Friday but had not been charged, law enforcement sources told the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times.
Police spokeswoman Monique Bond said investigators were talking to "a number of people in custody" but she declined to elaborate. An Amber Alert issued Friday said Balfour was a suspect in the double homicide.
Records from the Illinois Department of Corrections show Balfour, 27, is on parole and spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle. Public records show one of Balfour's addresses as the home where Donerson and Jason Hudson were shot.
The Cook County medical examiner's office said autopsies for Donerson and Jason Hudson were pending.
Balfour's mother, Michelle, said her son had been married to Hudson's sister, Julia, for several years, but they were separated. She also said Donerson had ordered him to move out of the family's home last winter."

…I swear they’re coming in like they the hot ish in school. I don’t wanna get to personal with it, so I’ll just keep it short. There’s this girl(G1) I know, we’ve been cool (and platonic *folds arms and frowns*) since the 9th grade and she’s been with this dude(B1) on and off for about 3 years now. After all the (non-consecutive)time together they finally broke it off. She was cool with it and so was he because he already found himself another girl – a freshman girl(G2). *WTF look* Nacca is you fool?! The girl JUST turned 15 and you trying to get yo’ Robert Kelly swag on?

Moving on…When that school bell rang today, me and G1 were walking down the hall ready to get our asses home and do our project, which I’m procrastinating on right now, when one of my peoples walks up to us and tells up the G2 has been telling people that G1 has AIDS. What?! Is you serious? And I was just talking with G2 that morning before - smiling all up in my face like we known each other for years. I’m side-eyeing her ass tomorrow too, watch.
