Both songs brought to you by none other than the Kang of R&B: Ursha baby!
Stay Down
Doesn't Ush give us fire(!) every album cycle? Raymond vs. Raymond was set to be released Dec. 21st, but has been pushed back to March of next year. I'm mad, but I know it'll be worth the wait. O, and congrats to Papers reaching #1 on the charts. His 10th #1 I believe.
I Invented Sex (rmx)
Ursher, Miss Keri baaayBAY! and some other mofo colab for this remix. I don't like the original, but Usher and Keri added something to this track that it desperately needed. I can jam it proudly now!
LUDA!! Christopher Bridges always comes correct with the club bangers. Gone get you some!
Shawnna fool as hell for jumping labels! Wonder who Ludacris will get to replace the female MC guest spot on the Battle of the Sexes album. Lil' Kim maybe?
New hotness from the Kang of R&B!
"In My Bag" (ft. T.T.)
Ursh is coming back HARD! Round heah we stans for the King of R&B. I support good music and Ush provides that along with a few other artists... VERY few. The beat it hot on this joint, too. T.I. is a nice addition to the song, but ain’t he suppose to be behind bars though? Or house arrest? Either way I'm sure he'll get to spend time with Miss Piggy Tiny and the kids.
I kind of like when R&B singers do braggadocios songs just to hear all the one-liners they come up with.
"You tryna wife it, I already tore it up..."
"I'm so fly, I got permanent jetlag"
“Industry’s in the recession, but I’m still spending from Confessions”
"Wouldn't even have a style without me"
Yea. Like MJB did with "Queen"
What do yall think about the track?
It's sound aiite, really nothing special. Timbo's new music hasn't been getting to me like production's he did for Aaliyah, Missy n 'nem. I like JT too. He's a cool dude, but he may be getting replaced by Robin Thicke soon if he don't come out with some new GOOD music. "Sex Therapy" make you want to do some thangs.
I don't know if I'm going to buy new album. Shoot, I didn't even buy the first one. What say y'all? Anyone looking forward to "Shock Value II"?
C's in da house! I say C's in da hou-o-ow-o In ya Moooout!
Wassup blog world, I'm back. Although people might have never realized I left in the first place... I've just been busy with college and paper after paper after paper.
*sigh*
Today for my comeback post I decide to put up snippets that leaked for Chris "Bajan Beater" Brown's upcoming album "Graffiti".
1. I Can Transform Ya ft. Lil Wayne
Sounds like he's taken a turn to a bit more Techno and Pop-ish songs and more autotune. (That note near the end in "Crawl" and that crap after the chorus in "I.Y.A"). I'm not an expert on music and I'm not gonna act like I am, so I'll just give my personal opinions on the songs
1. I Can Transform Ya - This is just plain hot.
2. Sing Like Me - Another hot track and my fav on the album. Also my new theme song.
3. Crawl - It's a good choice for a second single. Make 'em dance with "ICTY" then make 'em cry and feel your pain with "Crawl". Sorta like the "Yeah!"-"Burn" combo.
4. So Cold AKA Plea To Rihanna - This is just meah to me. I heard the full song and hate that he's using auto-tune to sing the high notes. This is meah to me.
5. What I Do - I'll pass on this.
6. Famous Girl - Sound like Pharrell had something to do with this and I ain't mad. Sounds hot and so far I like it. One of the best on the album.
7. Take My Time - I can get with this. Can't wait to hear what Tank does for this song.
8. I.Y.A. - NO!
9. Pass Out - Nope. This is Just "Forever pt. 2". You can hear the leftover beat.
10. Wait - Eeeeh. I might like it more when it leaks in full w/ Trey Songz.
11. Lucky Me - Sounds like something young Usher would've done.
12. Fallin' Down - Seems cool.
13. I'll Go - Look at CB growing in his music
14. Girlfriend - ...I take my last statement back. You are NOT a 'teen no more!
15. Gotta Be Ur Man - They could've left this off.
16. For Ur Love - Ok, now they're just adding fillers.
17. I Need This - Kill me, but I think I like this.
18. I Love U - I like this too. Missing something though.
19. Brown Skin Girl - Jamacian accent proper. Sean Paul hopefully adds something to this.
20. Chase Our Love - Finally it ends... and not on a good note.
To me, the album is aiite. Sure as hell not better than Exclusive or his debut album but good enough to sustain the local stans. He's growing a bit musically but then takes two steps back with songs like "Girlfriend" (smh) His voice has gotten better, but he's using auto-tunne to hit the note that he can't get to and you can really tell in some of these songs. Overall I give it a C-. He would've gotten a "C+" but that damn album cover... (SMDH)
It's better than "Rated R" I'll say. I heard the snippets from her album and it just flat out sucked. The only good song on there seems to be "Hard".
What do you think? Will this album shoot Chris' fame to higher heights? Will the stans bumrush old ladies in the mall to get this fresh off the shelf? Will some people show up with picket sign and try to stop the album from selling? Speak on it.
OK, I was watching The Simpsons earlier and it was the episode where Homer bought a pool for Bart and Lisa. When they were playing in the pool that game Marco Polo comes to mind and so did the song RIGHT after. Y’all know that song where Soulja Boy said “rhetorical”. So now I wanna talk about the music that is continuously spoon shoved down our throats. The 75% of music with generic/simple beats, wack ass ABC rhymes and inane music videos with video hoes other peoples cash.
*sad face*
What happened to music? Somewhere right now the 90’s are looking at the songs we have now and shaking its head in disapproval. I know I’m not the only one that wants to dropkick Boosie n’ nem in the chest and out of the recording studio. I want today’s music to be equipped hot beats…
…Good lyricists…
…And I wanna go back to a time when you didn’t have to use a vocoder to sing…
You see? Compare those to the ish we have now. What do y’all think about today’s music? Good? Bad? Decent? Speak your minds on it.
